 | | We're finally done! Mere words can not express my joy. After our months-long saga (leaky toilet upstairs, then a leaky shower, followed by sheetrock repair), the downstairs bathroom is back to normal.

 | | We had to take down the cabinets above the washer and dryer, so that the ceiling could be repaired. Since we had to paint the ceiling anyway, we decided to paint the walls at the same time. I've hated the ugly green color since we moved in. (Note: the linked photo shows the bathroom as furnished by the previous owners.)

 | | In order to paint, we had to move the dryer out of the room, slide the washer around the room while we painted everything, reinstall the cabinets, then move the dryer back in. It was like a very personal game of Traffic.

 | | The new color is Blue Rapids. I asked Chris: "So, in thirty years, do you suppose someone will look at this bathroom and remark (with disgust), 'God, this color is so 2003.'?"
