Jared Diamond and Bombay Sapphire
48 minutes in and I'm completely hammered. Guns, Germs, and Steel: the drinking game. Every time you hear the phrase "Fertile Crescent," drink.
All kidding aside, the show is quite interesting. I haven't read the book yet, but we just ordered it through inter-library loan.

I just watched the episode on the Incas, "Fertile Crescent" indeed. The show really is interesting. His makes some points, and expands on some I've heard before, that are fascinating.
